Chinese New Year: I would like to ask all parents on Tuesday this week (5th) if you could celebrate the year of the pig with us and dress up their children in red! The children will be making some wonderful pictures as well as making offerings to the deities, enjoying a large banquet of food together for lunch and making red envelopes as part of Chinese traditions!

Chinese New Year is a time for families to be together. Wherever they are, people come home to celebrate the festival with their families. The New Year’s Eve dinner is called “reunion dinner” and is believed to be the most important meal of the year.
National Story Telling Week:
The children in babies will be reading “Cave baby”, “baby loves peek a boo” and “My little zoo” and engaging in lots of activities surrounding these stories.
The children in 2-3’s & 3-4’s will be reading “the owl who was afraid of the dark”, “Marvin gets mad” and” the greatest gymnast of all” they also will be engaging in lots of activities surrounding these stories.
We will have a board up this week displaying this work and lots of pictures to see what the children have enjoyed about story!

1st March 2019 St. David’s Day is celebrated in Wales and by Welsh people throughout the world on 1st March.
Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus! means ‘Happy St David’s Day’ in Welsh.
It was declared Wales’ national day of celebration in the 18th Century and it is still celebrated throughout the country.
